Stockpile Room
I decided to post some pictures of my stock pile, since I just finished the new shelving unit for it. So below you will see 'The Walton General Store'. The plans for the shelving unit are below if you want them:
(10) 2x2x8
(2) 4x8 sheets of MDF -- you can have the lumber store cut these into half both ways to create (4) 2'x4' pieces
(2) 1'x2'x8' -- used as braces for the shelves
(6) 2x4x8 -- used as side support for the shelves
a bunch of screws (both 2" and 3")
You can cut two of the 2x2x8 boards into 21 inch pieces. This will be the box frame for your shelves. Make a boxed frame with the full length 2x2's and the 21" pieces you just cut. Also you will want to cut the 1x2's up into 21 inch lengths also for support crosses in the middle of the frame. These should be turned so that the 1" side is face up. Then take two pieces of your MDF board and place that on top of the frame screw them into place. Do this for the next 3 shelves. Then decide where you are going to place the shelves (distance between) and pre-mark the support beams and pre-drill the screw holes for easy assembly. See picture below for assembled product.
The other pics are just the rest of the room.
