Cheeseburger Surprise

This one of my favorite recipes that I stumbled upon sometime when I was online.  It is a great meal, but you could add a side of veggies to compliment it.



You will need:

• 2 cans of Crescent Rolls
• A bag of Shredded Cheese, preferably Cheddar or Colby Jack
• 1lb. of Ground Meat
• 3/4 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Rays is our favorite)

Line a baking sheet with Aluminum foil (for easy cleanup), then unroll one package of crescent rolls flat.  This will make the bottom layer of the dish.  Make sure you push the creases together to make one big flat piece of dough.  Then ground the hamburger and add the bbq sauce to the hamburger after draining.  Put the BBQ hamburger mix on top of the dough on the baking sheet.  Be sure to leave room around the edges of the dough.  Add the whole bag of shredded cheese on top of the hamburger.  Then unroll the second package of crescent rolls and lay that on top of the hamburger mixture.  Again make sure to push the creases together to make a large piece of dough.  Then you will want to pinch the edges of the two pieces of dough together like a pie crust.  I usually use my fingers to do this as most of the time the bottom piece folds over the top piece.  Then bake it in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.  You can cut it down the middle long ways(hot dog style) then cut it again(hamburger style) to make serving easy with a spatula.

Bacon Turtle Burgers

Creamy Mac N Cheese

Oven Cooked Bacon

Making Bacon in the oven is extremely easy and it comes out looking perfect.  Simply line a cookie sheet (one with edges to catch the grease), with aluminum foil.  Then lay your bacon out side by side, some can overlap but try not to.  Then put the pan in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees.  If you want crispy bacon or if you are using thick bacon make sure you add extra time.

This is a brand new site, so I figured a little introduction might help.

I am a St. Louis father of twins, I live and work in the St. Louis Metro Area and have become addicted to using coupons. I have been following a few coupon blogs on my own, but have found that I might be able to help others as well. I strive for great savings in all my deals and have actually set a budget for my items that I buy for my stock pile (or Dave’s General Store as I like to call it). This helps so I am not spending too much OOP (Out of pocket) each week.

I hope this blog helps others out there save money.
